Hello everyone....

(Jane's update)

The weekend for me is pretty packed too. I do creative writing, money skills and swimming. I also like to fit in a little unwinding time at the pub. I sometimes like a glass of wine- but after a busy week this week, I had a lager shandy instead.

Until next time!!!

Jane

(Jane's Friday)
On Friday mornings I go to college again. In the afternoon I made some easter baskets and hats back at The Oaks.

(Jane's update)

Thursday- This is when I do my weekly shopping. I spent the morning shopping and then had a coffee. In the afternoon I go to college. I have made lots of new friends at college. On Thursdays I do woodwork.

(Jane's update)

On Wednesday I went bowling- and guess who won? ME!
I also like to dance and today I went to 'Belly Dancing,' I go to belly dancing every week and I have just bought a new belly dancing wrap which is a shawl that ties around your waist.

I spent the weekend at my mum's house so when I arrived back on Monday I was eager to tell everyone what we had been doing. My mum and I both love to shop!!! Monday was a fun day- a little different to the usual monday's as we had Alex there filming for our 'statement of purpose' to go on DVD. I then cooked lunch- I love to cook- and in the afternoon I went to the gym.

On Tuesday I went to Art Group at the local community centre. Next to shopping, art is one of my most favourite things. I have made lots of things- some of my work is displayed at The Oaks. During the afternoon I practiced 'Road Safety Awareness.'

Hello everyone.....

Hi my name is Jane Firth and I am 26 years old. I have been living at The Oaks for 5 years now. The staff here explained to me that we have this new blog site and I want to share with you a typical week in my life here at The Oaks.

I have an activity planner in my room so every Sunday I plan my week ahead.

A Week of Sunshine

This week we have had ‘some’ sunshine!!! So Ellen, Hugh and Mark have been for a walk around Worcester and to feed the ducks.

Jane has been to the countryside centre and all of us, including John, have been spending lots of time in the garden. We have been tidying the garden and potting plants ready for the summer.

Paul, in the meantime has been making the most of everyone being out and about. He likes cars and planes. He has been working on a puzzle in the activity room.

We are all making the most of any spells of sunshine this week. Bring on the summer sun!!!!

The Oaks - Malvern

This home opened in November, 2002. It is located in Malvern Link overlooking the common and is a short walk from Malvern Link railway station and adjacent shops and local amenities. Malvern is famous for its stunning scenery and the Malvern Hills, which are less than a mile away, can be seen from the windows of the home. The town has many attractions and a lively cultural life – Malvern Theatres have three large auditoriums which attract internationally renowned performers, and there are many events of interest in the area throughout the year. Malvern is also famous for its spring water and as the home of the Morgan sports car, and is conveniently located close to the M5 and M50 motorways.
